Celebrating two Decades of BJJ in NSW
The NSW BJJ Federation was founded in 2001. Three Brazilian black-belts, Professor Paulo Guimaraes, Professor Marcelo Rezende, and Professor Bruno Panno created the federation as there was no official competition circuit in NSW at the time. They saw a need to build competitions in order to grow the sport in Australia following the official rules of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). Two decades later, BJJ is growing with a massive increase in both kids and adults competing throughout the year.
